TXT2Locate

TXT2Locate provides an easy and transparent way to send your device's location to friends, family members, or to yourself (if you have lost your phone). A text message keyword sent to your phone will trigger the TXT2Locate application to return your current location using Global Positioning (GPS), cell tower location, or wifi location.
Features include:
  • GPS location query
  • Automatic fallback to cell tower or wifi location
  • Limit responses to selected contacts
  • Control of the location response text message
  • Options to include direction of travel and altitude information
  • Limited battery consumption (GPS is only used when a query is made)

TXT2Locate version 1.02

TXT2Locate has been updated to include storage of the return text message and improved notification messages. The notification now opens a dialog showing the name of the location requestor and the sent message link.
